Hand washing laundry update

It sucks!

I've been off and on trying to hand wash my laundry for the past two or three months, and it is horrible.  At first, I told myself I was going to just wash the cloth diapers that I would eventually be using, because they are so complicated to wash it would just be easier to do it by hand.  Then I thought, "hey! If I am going to wash my diapers "by hand" then I might as well start off by washing my clothes.  If I do that then I will keep up with my laundry more, because I will be forced to do smaller loads more often!" Well, this isn't quite working out the way I planned...
Some of you will say, "well, duh! That shit sucks, why would you do that to yourself?"

And others of you are probably thinking, "I called that. Who is going to hand wash everything? Especially someone with kids. Nobody has time for that."

Well, let me tell you, the kids definitely make it hard to keep up with laundry, and the cloth diapers that I am using (not that complicated, actually) are just getting sullied way too fast for me to keep up with.  But the thing that is holding me back the most is neither of these things.  What is keeping me from keeping up with my laundry, the most, is the fact that I have no great method for wringing the water out of the laundry, so then it is taking days to dry, and some things are taking so long that mold starts setting in before any drying starts taking place.

So, I am at a cross roads.  I am doing the hand washing to save money (since I don't pay for the water or the electricity that I am using to heat it), but I need to spend money on a "water wringing out" device.  On the other hand, if I stop hand washing completely and do the laundromat thing, then I am looking at roughly $20 every time I do laundry, so let's say approximately once a week.  That's about $80 bucks a month.  It seems like a no brainer, but all of the devices to appropriately wring out laundry that I have seen online are not under $80.... hmm... what to do?
